art for the blind

my recent work, and photos from my show this weekend. all are acrylic painted wood panel, hammered with copper nails and copper wire, all encased in resin. hand built wood frames. drawer pulls are found. each piece has a phrase in braille nailed into it, beginning with the letter shown, as in classic illuminated letters. translations are below each image:

scenic painting

for the movie "THEO", this wall of windows was for an old tobacco stained flop house set. but as there was no translight, i needed to make them translucent. here is how they looked lit for camera:



this was the hallway set. i applied grass wallpaper, stenciled this pattern, and aged it down:
